Terms of Service

By creating an account or using Read4Me, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The service

Read4Me converts user-submitted text into AI-generated narration and stores completed readings locally on the user's device. An account is required. The free service permits up to 5,000 submitted characters per account per UTC day. Limits and availability may change to protect reliability and control abuse.

Your content and responsibilities

You retain your rights in text you submit. You grant us and our service providers a limited right to process it solely to provide, secure, and improve the requested service. You must have the right to use submitted text and must not submit unlawful, infringing, harmful, privacy-invasive, or abusive material.

Acceptable use

You may not bypass quotas or security, automate abusive requests, reverse engineer protected services, distribute malware, interfere with other users, or use Read4Me in violation of law or third-party rights. We may limit or suspend accounts that threaten the service or violate these terms.

AI-generated audio

AI output can contain errors, unexpected pronunciation, or interruptions. Do not rely on Read4Me for emergency, medical, legal, financial, safety-critical, or accessibility-critical information without independently checking the source text.

Your account

You are responsible for protecting your sign-in method and activity under your account. Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access. You can delete your account through Settings or the instructions on our deletion page.

Availability and warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, or that generated audio will be error-free. Keep copies of content important to you.

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Read4Me and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from use or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits rights or liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes and termination

We may change or discontinue features and may update these terms. Continued use after an update takes effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. You may stop using Read4Me and delete your account at any time.
